An open letter addressed to local authorities throughout Madagascar has received one thousand four hundred and fifty-six (1456) responses on the official page of a social networking site run by the Association Fleurs Eveillées. The issue is the system of boycotting community development projects by certain local authorities, which was denounced by the founding president of the association, Viviane Rahariniaina, on 16 August. Viviane Rahariniaina, an entrepreneur and humanitarian activist, created Fleurs Eveillées five (5) years ago in places such as Mananjary, Mahajanga, Diego-Suarez, Tamatave and Tananarive, with the aim of bringing local development to young people.
