Democracy in Madagascar is a big word that many people are still waiting to hear. Indeed, it is still at the heart of socio-political debates, given that its application floats and blurs the popular mass, as the general feeling is of a Malagasy system of governance that sings of a rule of law that is constantly biased. The bric-a-brac of the last presidential election is a case in point. A priori, all government bodies are concerned by this heady democracy, and the media is not to be outdone. Hence the new election of a representative of the Ordre des Journalistes de Madagascar, OJM, to the High Council for the Defence of Democracy and the Rule of Law, HCDDED.
