Madagascar's history is made up of a number of events that have marked years of turning points, reversals and socio-social upheavals affecting just about every walk of life and the entire national population. Literary accounts, chronologies retracing the events, often told orally by witnesses who become writers, Madagascar is often better known on the surface, but deep down, many questions and stories remain unanswered. In the midst of this tumultuous existence, Bruno Abric, a French author from Bordeaux, has published three novels based on the experiences of some of the characters from the colonial years.
