The inauguration of Madagascar's largest contemporary art facility unveils a raw space transformed into a creative laboratory. The weekend of 14 September saw the opening of a major new art space in Ankadimbahoaka, Antananarivo. Hakanto Contemporary. This 3,000 m2 space was inaugurated with the immersive exhibition “Histoires de famille”, which explores emotions through a series of contemporary works. The site, originally a storage shed belonging to the Yavarhoussen family, has been refurbished by Joël Andrianomearisoa, who is the artistic director of Hakanto Comptemporary, to provide a modular, uncluttered platform for artistic expression in a raw setting.
