On 12 and 13 December 2024, Madagascar launched a project to integrate green initiatives into the national strategies of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) as part of its commitment to more sustainable trade that is sensitive to climate change. A workshop to identify strategic priority products, pinpoint the value chains to be promoted and implement trade measures to maximize the impact of this initiative was held at the Hôtel Colbert, Antaninarenina. Following the preparation of the third version of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC), this project will focus on trade challenges and green trade as a means of combating the consequences of climate change.
