The daily living conditions in Madagascar have significantly affected the majority of the population. In rice-producing regions near the capital, such as Ambatondrazaka and Tsiroanomandidy, collectors purchase a kilogram of paddy (unhusked rice) for 2,500 ariary and 1,700 ariary, respectively. From one kilogram of paddy, at least three cups of rice can be produced. These conditions highlight the economic challenges faced by many in the country.
