Still problematic, access to electricity in Madagascar remains a sensitive subject due to the absence of a real solution for Malagasy households. Yesterday, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) announced in a press release its intention to strengthen access to sustainable energy in the country by providing long-term solutions for rural electrification. In addition to the development of renewable energies, programs such as the Promotion of Rural Electrification through Renewable Energies (PERER), the Project Development Program (PDP), and the CERI (Integrated Rural Electrification Framework) approach, GIZ and its partners have decided to opt for renewable energies as the ultimate solution.
