Six years after the seizure of 25.5 kilograms of gold that had been illegally exported from Madagascar, Mauritius, through its Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam, has officially returned the precious metal to its country of origin. The solemn ceremony was marked by a speech from Malagasy President Andry Rajoelina, who praised it as "a responsible act, an act of solidarity, and an act of brotherhood."
